Yuan Huai participates in a family trial but gets his spot for immortal cultivation stolen by a villain. His mother is killed, his sister is kidnapped, and he is severely injured and thrown into the Snake Abyss. On the verge of death at the bottom of the cliff, he encounters Sun Wukong, who had been sealed under Five Finger Mountain for ten thousand years. After gaining a fortuitous opportunity and becoming his disciple, Yuan Huai is reborn. He escapes from the abyss to avenge his mother and, with Sun Wukong's help, enters the path of immortal cultivation to rescue his sister.
